The Guild Bank: How Does Your Guild Make Money?

I would be very interested to hear how other guilds run their guild banks and how they fill their coffers. In fact I would really like to get heaps of information and do a guide because frankly Google just didn’t cut it for me this time.

Inscription and Demand

Those reasons remain true and valid (except for that last one now that the shoulder enhancements are Bind to Account). But now that I can make a whole bunch of glyphs, Darkmoon cards, vellum and junk a part of my brain still can’t quite adjust to this profession. And it’s the part of my brain that wonders how it’s possible to make gold out of the profession.

Profiteering and the Value of Gear

I’ve seen the Damaged Hilt that leads to QuelDalar drop twice. The first time I was playing Cassandri with some guild members and I passed. That weapon is not an upgrade for me. I was genuinely thrilled that one of our Mages won it. I’d raided with him in the past but he hasn’t played much since Trial of the Crusader was released. And I think he could really use the upgrade. Definitely a heart-felt “grats!” moment.

Then I saw it again.

Why Herbing is Dangerous

That leaves two major gold sinks in the game for me: 1. Armor Repair and 2. Flasks of the Frost Wrym. Flasks are expensive. And the prices keep rising. I think all the Herbalists have stopped herbing or something because herbs currently cost a small fortune on Barthilas and Flasks are going up in price each time I log in.
