Internet Censorship and the Future of World of Warcraft in Australia

Then someone realised that even if the content itself is out of our reach in Australia, the user’s ability to see it is well within our control. Since 2000 a project has been underway to create the Great Australian Firewall. All internet service providers in Australia – the guys you connect to first in order to access the internet – will check what you want to look at against the government’s good and bad list.

Inscription: The Production Line

Seems pretty straight forward. But glyphs are one of the few, perhaps the only, finished product from secondary professions that we are quite happy to buy directly from the Auction House instead of shopping around or finding a reputable crafter and pay a service fee.

There’s No Such Thing as an Exploit

It seems that so many of the extremely difficult boss kills this expansion are being declared as invalid or unfair by Blizzard. Because the guilds in question discovered something that turned the encounter in their favor and used it. Exodus’s world first Alone in the Darkness was considered to be an exploit because the guild discovered they could seriously confuse the spawned Guardians in the final phase by a Holy Paladin messing around with brain portals and threat.

Inscription and Demand

Those reasons remain true and valid (except for that last one now that the shoulder enhancements are Bind to Account). But now that I can make a whole bunch of glyphs, Darkmoon cards, vellum and junk a part of my brain still can’t quite adjust to this profession. And it’s the part of my brain that wonders how it’s possible to make gold out of the profession.
