HoTs and DoTs: A Restoration Druid and Shadow Priest

I Did it All For… Alchemy?

Alchemy is the carrot-on-a-stick that is dragging me all the way through the levels. Not the promise of reaching level 80. Not the quests. Not even the dungeons. Certainly not the gear. But the profession… yes.

The Auditions are Over

Starting the Ravenholdt grind made me realise that, without even knowing that they had started, I’ve finished auditioning my characters for the starring role in Cataclysm. I’m sticking with the Shadow Priest!

How Come Nobody Told Me About
Fire Nova?

I guess I had completely tuned out when 3.3 was released and they changed a Shaman’s Fire Nova Totem by turning it into a spell, instead of a Totem that didn’t seem to do anything special and was thus forgotten in our Spellbooks. The new Fire Nova is an AoE spell that sends a blast wave of damage out from wherever you dropped your fire totem. It’s such a cool spell! I can’t believe I didn’t know about it, and use it, for weeks.

Restoration (Shaman) No More

I tried. I really did. I waited until I had gathered 200+ Emblems of Triumph and bought all my 232 Tier 9 to see if it would make a difference. It didn’t. I still struggled to heal as a Restoration Shaman.

Leveling in Pairs

It may come as a surprise but Caesandra (my Mage) and Pixii (Lathere’s Warlock) are the first two characters we’ve tried to level together. Caesandra is level 46. Pixii is level 42. This leveling duo is falling apart.

How to Spell Noob

A picture is worth a thousand words.

It’s Epic on the Inside

Pixii is the proud owner and wearer of Electromagnetic Gigaflux Reactivator. This has to be the craziest looking head piece in the game. It makes the Druid Tier 10 briarthorn headpiece look boring in comparison. The Electromagnetic Gigaflux Reactivator not only looks cool, it also shoots lightning out of it every 30 minutes!

A Tale of Two TOCs

I logged in on a hot lazy Saturday afternoon expecting to do a bit of leveling with Cass. For those interested we have taken the plunge and started a summer project: to leveling a Gnome Warlock and Mage duo. Little did I know that I would end up doing TOC 25 on not 1 but 2 of my level 80s!

Mages

I think there’s a severe “pures” shortage on my server, Barthilas. Good, raiding Mages and Warlocks? A dying breed. Even Hunters seem to be a bit scarce.
