Who Put The Headless Horseman in Horde Territory? And Why Holiday Achievements are a Waste of Time

All that time spent earning the lesser achievements, swapping characters every hour to trick or treat innkeepers, logging in every day, getting ganked on the way to Scarlet Monastery could have been better spent doing… well almost any other in game activity. I would have enjoyed my time much more and ended up with the same result.

An Insanely Good Tribute Run

Last week the group got him in 2 attempts (without me, /cry) and this week we got Anub’arak without wiping at all. Our 10 man group earns the achievement: A Tribute to Insanity (10). Where’s my ToC Undying title hey?

Hodir’s Cache Really is Rare

Last night we had a dream raid. After finishing up in Trial of the Crusader, we went right in to kill Auriaya (no problem) and 1 shot Hodir and earnt the achievement. First attempt! And I recorded it for you all.

The Seeker

For some time now I have been questing in my spare time working on Loremaster of Eastern Kingdoms and Loremaster of Kalimdor. At some point, with about 200 quests to do for each, I realised that I was going to achieve 3000 Quest Completed first. Having completed 3000 quests I now can be known as Cassandri the Seeker.

Two Items I’d Like to See in World of Warcraft

There’s not enough items in World of Warcraft. These are the two that I want. Maybe some day someone from Blizzard will agree with me and actually implement them (I can dream, can’t I?).

Healing Heartbreak

Our guild finally got the Heartbreaker achievement from XT-002 Deconstructor on Thursday night after only a couple of wipes. I think the reason we were so successful tonight compared to our Wednesday night attempts was the healing team composition we put together. The healing team composition we used for success was:

* 2 Restoration Druids
* 2 Holy Priests
* 2 Restoration Shamans

Pain and Heartbreak

As soon as the Heart of the Deconstructor appears I pop a potion, dot, dot, dot and Shadowfiend then spam Mind Flay. This is one fight that I’m not happy with my own personal performance. Not even close. Our raid leader is setting the bar at 300k damage done to the heart and I can’t consistently make that mark.

Of Hard Modes & Guilds

It’s been 7 months since I lead a guild & approximately 1 year since leading a 25 man raiding guild back in BC. To me, one of the most important aspects of guild leadership was defining your guild in terms of game style and progression goals. How can people understand what they’re signing up for if you haven’t made this incredibly clear?

My Recent Addiction to Rep Grinds

I’m not sure what has happened, but sometime in the last fortnight I have become a tad obsessed with reputation grinds. I think it may have had something to do with my brother gifting me the adorable Teldrassil Sproutling which he received from the Argent Tournament. Being a vanity pet collector, I decided to check [...]

A Quick Guide to Scholomance

This guide is intended to graphically show you a clear path through the dungeon and tell you where to find each boss. You won’t miss any (I’ve left out the one optional summoned boss, I figure if you are completing the quests you’ll be able to find him on subsequent runs). You’ll do minimal backtracking. You won’t run in circles looking for a door. You’ll know when you have finished.
