Gear Upgrade Flowchart (Cataclysm Style)

The answer to any gear dilemma is simple: Reforge!

Doing a Good Deed

Beru’s post, The Anti-Gear Score Experience, was one of the most inspiring things that I have read since I started blogging. I was listing some auctions last Saturday when I noticed that a continuation 10 man ICC group in Trade Chat was looking for players to help them kill Sindragosa and the Lich King only. Perhaps here was a group desperate to kill The Lich King before the expansion ended. Perhaps here was a group that needed my help!

A Revelation (and some Key Binds)

In the heat of battle, I often reach for the same keys to do the same kind of job – drop threat, hide, cast an instant spell, absorb damage – regardless of what character I’m playing.

Getting Our Balance

Give it another few months and I think the waiting time in queue for all three roles: Tank, Healer and Damage Dealer will be near evenly matched.

OMG Wailing Caverns

Wailing Caverns is designed to be a low level Horde instance (15-25). In the big picture view it’s the second instance that Horde players visit, after hacking and slashing their way through Ragefire Chasm. Wailing Caverns is technically tucked under some rocks in The Barrens but thanks to the Dungeon Finder it’s just one button away. Map and directions included.

Raiding Gear for Cataclysm Leveling

But I believe that the items available from Cataclysm level 85 heroics will be better than anything available in Wrath of the Lich King. Er, that’s assuming they don’t get their gear itemisation totally wrong. And I think they want all players – even the most hardcore, realm-first chasers – to complete the heroics for loot before stepping foot in a Cataclysm raid.

How Cassandri Went Insane

My diary as I completed Insane in the Membrane. I was going to make this into a video. Maybe I will at sometime in the future. Or when I figure out how to do the speed-up effect in iMovie. Color-coded so you can see which items/activities are for which reputations.

Things to Do in Queue

So, are you in a queue right now as you read this?

And the Gamble Pays Off

There’s one complicated, you could say contradictory, requirement to earning Insane in the Membrane: You must reach Exalted with the Steamwheedle Cartel (the Goblins who hang out in Booty Bay, Ratchet, Everlook and Gagetzhan) but you must also reach Honoured with Bloodsail Buccaneers.

I Did it All For… Alchemy?

Alchemy is the carrot-on-a-stick that is dragging me all the way through the levels. Not the promise of reaching level 80. Not the quests. Not even the dungeons. Certainly not the gear. But the profession… yes.
