There was only buffing. Constantly buffing. Before pulls, during pulls, after pulls. Buffing always. When not buffing, decursing (because every boss in Vanilla had some magic/poison/disease debuff that was constantly spammed). Every now and then they'd throw in a heal, but really healing in Vanilla is what the 6-8 Holy priests were for. There was no “getting ready for pulls” as a paladin in Vanilla. There was only buffing.
