For the last few weeks we’ve been working on Heroic 25 Northrend Beasts, the first boss in a “Tribute” run. Heroic is really a huge step from Normal difficulty. The first night of wiping had me convinced that we needed a heck of a lot more gear before we’d be able to beat it. But we’ve been working on it pretty much each raid night since then.
Since we killed him, I suppose that I’m qualified to offer some suggestions on how we did it.
This story takes place in Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin and Wintergrasp. And it all started with a 40 minute Wintergrasp Timer.
This weekend I found myself considering how best to build up my stores of Infinite Dust. I have Enchanting and Tailoring as my two professions but I’ve noticed that while my stores of Abyss Crystals and Dream Shards seem to be increasing, I never seem to have enough Dust to enchant my own gear these days. I just can’t get enough greens.
A Tree Fairytale is set in the magical kingdom of Dalaran and other raid instances. Its about 1 tree’s adventures with her raiding guild and getting to know a new druid that joined the guild.
On Saturday the daily was Heroic Oculus. I picked up the quest and put myself in LFG and had an invitation before I had finished stocking up on candles. I was the last member (score!) and I was told to dps (omg!).
I’ve always kind of assumed the instances servers are battlegroup-wide. I run lots of instances. Well at least the daily heroic each day. It doesn’t take long to get a group going from LFM. But obviously we’re not doing enough to bring down our instance servers. If that’s the case we need to organise a mass instance-launching assault while we still can. Before Blizzard fix it. And we’re running out of time!
I nearly fell off my chair at work…. here I was thinking I would have to wait a good few months to change my level 70 mage into a cute little gnomey, but it’s already available! I’ve put the credit card details in and have started the process, farewell Alexria the Blood Elf and say [...]
We’ve been raiding and fighting and jousting in Northrend for all this time to take a shot at Arthas and kill him. That’s a lot of anticipation. And the actual final encounter with Arthas needs to live up to that. I’m not talking about the fight being hard. This is not a the-game-is-too-easy-and-I-find-that-unfulfilling type post. This is about letting the imagination run free.
