Thanks for the comment Light. Scholomance is located in Western Plaguelands on the island of Cael Darrow in the south eastern corner of the region. When I was last there to solo the content (not using the dungeon finder) you needed the Skeleton Key to enter.
However both this item and the quest chain leading to the item are marked as obsolete on Wowhead so I imagine the key is no longer required to enter.

this is helpful inside the instance and what not yes but i am having troubles finding the instance at all. what area, where do i need to go to get to Scholomance. I level through dungeons so i don’t explore much and i have no direction to get there. Google and Wowhead have failed in helping on this matter.

I’m pretty sure you don’t need to do a quest – he spawns when you’ve killed all the bosses that lead up to him (with the exception of the summoned/optional boss who really is optional).

Do you still need to do a quest? Because ive done everything in this guide and the final boss doesn’t show up.
